I agree that a persistence of climate consciousness improves resilience to the noise and distractions of daily life. The consciousness of social and civic leaders are key to change. As a software researcher/designer, I know that my colleagues care deeply about the causes and consequences of climate change, but the struggle for traction. These green-hearted technologists are part of the understory, but they labor under the influence of mindsets and business models driven by the very growth equations that seem anathema to a sustainable future. Ironically, software companies that pride themselves in being data-driven are largely impervious to the rafts of data demonstrating that we are in the midst of the climate crisis already. I look forward to your efforts to shine more light on what matters most.
